Opening Ceremonies
The kids were poised ready for the first drop in as the ribbon was just about to be cut.
The ribbon was cut and the "roller derby" begins.
I ran into Lester Kasai. He was in no rush to fight the crowds so we sat at on the deep end of the snake run deck and talked for abou 20 minutes.
Getting a run in was hard but getting out look just as hard with all the people lining the pool.

Yeah, he knows Lester. They use to skate culver city all the time together. He is a fish monger. Coincidentally, he got me the S=*&i job that I still have today. I actually owe him a big thanks or I would have never met my wife. We started skating together back in '87 or somethin.
